I am happy with the profitability that certain publishers are having with downloadable content, but their whole model makes me sick.
There is no excuse for offering addtional content for a game less than 3 months after its release. I have seen games release DLC 1 month after the release of the game. Even worse still is Capcom, who offered DLC packages for additional costumes for Street Fighter 4 that were ALREADY ON THE DISC.
Sadly, publishers are making money hand over fist, so I don’t expect this to go anywhere. After all, why put in extra effort if you don’t have to?
