C Spire Wireless Getting iPhone 4s

This screenshot says it all. C Spire (formally Cellular South) is getting their first iPhone. However a timeframe is not listed on the site. C Spire is already home to a slew of other smartphones including Android, Blackberry and Window Phone. With this, C Spire is taking yet another step towards significant market growth.

Be aware of @cspire ‘s new Streaming tier for music and video streaming. It’s kinda stupid and is going to bite a lot of people in the but. (What happened to net neutrality?)

This is directly from their site:

Free infinite data streaming through October 29. Then 2 hours for $5, 5 hours for $10, infinite per month for $30.

    What is streaming?
Streaming typically occurs when you watch video or listen to music via the internet or an app. You do not stream data if the video or music is already stored on your device. Most, but not all, Android Apps are not counted as streaming unless the app downloads and plays a video file or audio file. For example, viewing a video on YouTube, Netflix, Facebook or ESPN is streaming. Listening to Pandora and game broadcasting also counts as streaming.

It’s really weird that they are measuring it in time and not gb.  I could accidentally stream 2 hours of pandora.  I think this may actually help the consumer understand what they are paying for,  in that most people don’t know what a mb or a gb is in content terms.  Everyone knows what an hour is.

However if they are referring to their 3g network, good luck getting 5 hours of youtube video to stream well enough to even care to watch it.
