The new Tony Hawk game has been officially confirmed by Activision, as announced at their e3 party, and they are specifically aiming at the younger audience. The game is touted as featuring more arcade style graphics, which Activision is calling GO BIG. Also it looks like Activision is continuing to embrace the skateboard peripheral, which in itself is not surprising.
Now what I would LOVE to see is Activision embracing the Kinect and Move platforms and making something truly creative. I strongly feel there is a need to alleviate more *mashed plastic, but maybe creating a unique combination of the Tony Hawk Ride board couped with the Move or Kinect technology could be interesting. My ambitions may be a bit too early, but I’m sure we’ll see plenty of interest in the new platforms in the coming year.
