The good people over at Tigerdirect.com, CircuitCity.com, and CompUSA.com (whichever you prefer, they’re all the same anyway) are practically giving away tens of hundreds of gigs.
Buyer beware though. These are both Seagate “Green” drives. What that means is these drives are possibly made from recycled materials and low chemical composition materials. Also they use less power than standard hard drives. In essence THESE DRIVES ARE NOT PERFORMANCE DRIVES. They are best for storage, pictures, video and audio streaming. Perfect for say a media center PC. You will hate these drives if you make them your gaming PC or OS boot drive. REMEMBER THEY ARE SLOW. I think they are around 5900 rpm instead of the norm 7200 or raptor 10,000.
But shoot a terabyte for under 40 bux. That is a deal. What I recommend is purchase a small fast drive like 250gb for your OS and games. Then toss in one of these “Tera Byte Beauties” for your bitt torrenting.
