Pretty sure I am late with this post but I will share it anyway. The official site (Japanese) for “Metroid: Other M” is live. Not much info provided but even those without the ability to read the characters can make out2010. For those who visit the site you will be treated to the image above and some very somber music(tear). This Metroid will definitely be deep in Samus’s back story(tear). I can feel it in my bones(sniffle).

I went to this site. I am a bit skeptical about the gameplay, though. Hopefully, they won’t stray too far away from the Metroid formula. I want it to keep that same isolated exploration feel. I certainly don’t want it to turn into another DMC esque over the top acton game. GoW3 is already comming out this year. Then again, the prime games started to stray away from the formula as well. Corruption seemed to focus on the story more than any metroid game beofre it. I fear the days of Super Metroid like exploration may be over.
Here’s hoping they don’t forget about the series’ roots and make this another “reimagining of the series” a la RE4…

Well, with Team Ninja behind this, i don’t think you have to worry too much about story. The DMC thing is a possibility though…
