Homeplay: Doc Louis’s Punch Out

Posted by Sergio Lugo II On October - 31 - 2009

So, I decided to try something new, and this is what happened: Techpedition Homeplay.  Since most of us spend our time at home playing games, I thought it was a good idea to setup a video camera and document my reaction to them.  Here’s you first episode Doc Louis’s Punch Out.

Amazon Gold Box: Save Some Green. I Mean Turtles

Posted by Carl Minor On October - 27 - 2009

Sorry for posting this so late but Amazon is doing a Wii Gold Box again.  For those not in the loop, this is where Amazon sales stuff for very cheap.  I am not talking about five bucks off but like sixty and forty percent off.

The main Gold Box Deal is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Smash Up:Wii.  Not sure how long this been out or if Sergio already owns 10 copies, (Nine to play with 1 to keep in Mint condition) but I can say copying Smash Brothers was not a bad idea.  I enjoyed this game at E3 and now it can be bought for $29.98.  Since this is the gold box it will be available all day at that price.

Now lets get to the lightning deals.  The way the lightning deals work is, one item becomes available at the time below, and remains available either until it sells out or until it is the next items time for sell.  For items that are not for sell yet.  You are given a little hint, almost riddle like, to guess what the next item up for sell will be.   Since I was a little late we have missed the first two deals.  I am gonna list them out in times of availability.   All times below are Pacific.

tmntAmazonGold

6am– House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return for Wii — $14.98

9am– EA Sports Active: Susan B Komen Breast Cancer Awareness Edition

–Riddle Time–

12pm –Ninjas can be cute. (I am guessing “Mini Ninjas”)

2pm – This is one house where you don’t want to trick or treat. (guess “House of the Dead: Overkill) might have to get this one

4pm – Join our favorite detective on this chilling mystery. (Agatha Cristy maybe?)

6pm – Bring it on! (Ha! ha! I bet its “Wii Cheer”)

Well there you have it.  Appears these titles are Family, women, and Halloween Oriented.  Get ya some Deals people.

Bring it on!

Online Multiplayer…Its own worst enemy?

Posted by Sergio Lugo II On October - 27 - 2009

This year sees the release of many online multiplayer titles that have and will garner rabid sales: these include, Halo 3 ODST, Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Left 4 Dead 2.  While all of these can be played single player the publishers are really hoping that the multiplayer mode keep players coming back.  Why, you ask?  Well, it has everything to do with brand loyalty, download content revenue and sustaining the sales numbers.

lksjdfHello everyone out in Techpedition land. As many of you might know on PSN there have been quite a few messages getting sent out lately. One detailing that PSN is checking their message service and everyone who sends this messages will get $20 PSN credit. There is now one for $50. And the biggest one of all?

So for all of you out there who have gotten these relax. Don’t buy into the hype. This is all spam. Jokes some people are having fun at our expense with.  Please watch the spam. If you get any of these messages do a little research before you start sending.

A Quick Look at the New PS3 Box Design

Posted by Sergio Lugo II On October - 14 - 2009

With the release of Uncharted 2 today, Sony is marking the beginning of a new box art design.  Obviously this has been in the works since the PS3 Slim was launched, as the design fits very well into the new PS3 (rather than PLAYSTATION 3) branding.

Take a look at two highly anticipated games that were released today.  Brutal Legend to the left and Uncharted 2 on the right.

Bryan Singer Wants to Do Another X-Men Movie

Posted by Sergio Lugo II On October - 12 - 2009

x-men-2_lAccording to The Hollywood Reporter, Bryan Singer wants another shot at making an X-men movie.  The director of the first two hugely successful films (the first of which is said to have inspired the current boom in comic book movies) claims that he is talking to Fox about rejoining the X-men project.

You may remember that he passed on making X-men 3, in order to work on Superman Returns (an arguably much worse film).  Brett Ratner stepped in and made the highly profitable third movie in the series, however many fans were upset with the direction Ratner sent the series, as he killed many main characters.
