Green Day: Rock Band, Confirmed

gdrb Kotaku is reporting that Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong has confirmed that Green Day is next up for a Rock Band iteration. It wasn’t a huge announcement, as Billie only mentioned it on KROQ’s Kevin and Bean’s Breakfast show. So, we really don’t know much more than it’s existence.

It could be a track pack, it could be a full game, it could just be DLC. Whatever it ends up being it’s exciting news to Green Day fans who have haven’t had any GD tunes to play in any Rock Band or Guitar Hero game. The biggest questions to me are what songs, and will it carry a Parental Advisory Logo and/or an M rating?  Hmmmm, we will see.

I would expect the M rating the way GD pisses on wal mart censorship, heh.

I don’t mean to sound like a company-man because believe me I am not, but Wal-mart doesn’t censor anything. Walmart simply doesn’t purchase CDs labeled as parental advisory. If the record label or artist decides not to release two versions of the disc then that artist’s music will not be available at Wal-mart. Other retailers sell censored copies of discs as well, but other companies give you the choice between the two.

I guess I should rephrase. Wal mart wanted Green Day to censor the CD, and they refused. Same difference.
