This one is for all the Halo Haters…

Posted by Kary Brown On June - 29 - 2009

Ok, have something to get off of my chest…

I admit it. I LOVE Halo. Deal with it, but I was pretty much shlacked before a recent podcast. Certain people claim that Halo is a “Mediocre” first person shooter. I asked them to name 5 FPS games that were better. They could not do it. Love it or hate it, the Halo franchise is one of the best game franchises (not just FPSs) ever. But you don’t have to take my word for it. Continue Reading…

My girlfriend and I really love horror movies, so we have been going through Netflix renting a bunch of the old classics.  Recently we rented “Freddy Dead” Nightmare on Elm Street.  I had almost forgotten about this hilarious video game parody.  Enjoy.

UPDATED: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Premiere Coverage

Posted by Sergio Lugo II On June - 28 - 2009

After an unprecedented amount of technical difficulties the Transformers video is done…kinda. The shear amount of footage we got was outstanding, so I’m posting the before movie video today and I expect to have the after movie video later this weekend.

I’m truly sorry for anyone left out of the final cut. I didn’t want to exclude anyone, but we had audio problems on some clips (Vanny most specifically). Hope you enjoy!

UPDATED! Here’s the closing video. Props to Vanny for coming through in the clutch and giving us some fantastic post-movie action. WARNING: THEIR ARE HUGE SPOILERS IN THIS CLIP!

I want to thank everyone that came out to the movie and those of you that took the time to smile for our camera. This premiere was our biggest so far…by a long shot. If you want to take part in the Shenanigans, we will be at the Harry Potter Premiere or you could come to our highly anticipated Rock Band event on the 18th.

Obviously Techpedition liked the movie…but we would love to hear your opinions.

The Windows 7 October 22nd release date is less than four months away and Microsoft has finally given the skinny on their upcoming prices. If your like most, you would have hoped these prices would be very reasonable, especially after the problems that Windows Vista had early on. Evenmore so, after Apple’s shocking announcement of the twenty-nine dollar price tag of OS X Snow Leopard, Microsoft had to be feeling the pressure more than ever. The pricing is as follows:

Prince of Persia Review

Posted by Sergio Lugo II On June - 26 - 2009

pop1The Sands of Time Trilogy was possibly my favorite franchise of last generation, next to Metroid Prime, and Jak and Daxter.  When I heard that the Prince was coming back, on the current systems I was excited to see the changes that are made.  I also was looking forward to what platforming madness he would have to go through.  Ubisoft, took the stance of if ain’t broke, then make subtle changes that water down what was already there. Rest In Peace MJ

Posted by Clarence Brown On June - 25 - 2009

If you haven’t heard already then you must be living under a rock. The King Of Pop, Michael Jackson, has unfortunately passed on today, which reportedly was due to a heart attack. Well, you might be saying, but Clarence, “Why are you posting this on Techpedition, this has nothing to do with technology or video games.” Well, there once a game called… Moonwalker. Check out the video below. Show’s gameplay of the original arcade game, plus the guys playing are quite hilarious. R.I.P. MJ.

Space Channel 5 anyone?

Techpedition’s Best of E3

Posted by Sergio Lugo II On June - 21 - 2009

Its time for Techpedition to crown the winners of the first annual Best of E3.  The dust has settled
and the industry experts are filling websites with their opinions on what the best games at E3 were.  Since the Techpedition crew was there, I think it is only fitting that we announce our picks.  These games were picked June 4th, after the show closed on Thursday.  Our opinions were still fresh and it shows.  We debated on a few and some of the results may surprise you.  Here we go… (oh and to give you an idea of how much fun Knotts had at the show, rather than posting pictures of the games list I’ll just post a bunch of pictures of him with the booth babes…enjoy)
