The New PSP is a Go
It’s still 2 days before 3E starts and we already have a huge announcement. Sony hasn’t commented yet, but there is absolutely no way that this is fabricated. There is a new PSP coming and most of the assumptions were true.
The leaked Qore video below tells us everything we need to know about the long-rumered handheld. The video features John Koller the director of Sony’s Hardware Marketing Dept. So, as I said…this is legit, or the most elaborate hoax in the history of gaming.
The PSP GO will not have a UMD drive, and rely completely on downloadable games and media. It also slides open, much like the popular slide phones currently on the market. The screen is smaller, its blu-tooth enabled, and the internal memory will be 16GB (expandable via a Mini Sony Memory Stick). A few other game announcements were spouted off during the interview but the biggest news is the new hardware.
I don’t know if I like the placement of the analog stick, and a download only feature almost kills the purchase for me. Not being able to buy games second hand is a huge kill-joy, but if these are the kind of announcements we can expect from E3 this week, we are in for a treat.
Giant Bomb Achievement Tracker
Jeff Gerstman and his homies over at Giantbomb.com have added an extremely interesting new feature to their site. Those of us that love our Achievement scores have been limited to seeing our friends achievements and anyone we bump in to on Xbox Live. Well, that is no longer the case. Giant Bomb’s tracking system not only tracks your overall gamerscore, but also your individual numbers for each game you have played. Continue Reading…
This Week in Anime: Eden of the East
Throw a cute female lead, overpowered cell phones, Oasis (yes, the British rock band), and some cutting edge animation together and what do you get? Eden of the East: Production I.G.’s latest masterpiece.
The storytelling of Eden is thriller-esque, and believe me when I say you will spend the first few episodes trying to figure out what the hell is going on (six episodes in and I still don’t fully get it). Rest assured, however, that you will latch onto what is handed to you like a hobo onto a ham sandwich. Continue Reading…

Liugeaux’s Top 10 E3 Anticipation Picks
E3 comes but once a year and this year the Techpedition crew and I are lucky enough to actually be attending the show. Literally hundreds of games will be showcased and dozens of developers will be pimping their wares in the Expo doors, but a few choice titles have really caught my eye and will be beeping on my radar all week. Here’s a quick run down of what I would like to see/get my hands on at E3. Continue Reading…
E3 in 1 week; Techpedition travels to L.A. (!!)
Ok, unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past decade, you probably know that e3 will be upon us next week. What you may not know is that the techpedition crew will be on location filming, blogging, and bringing you up-to-the-minute coverage of the entire thing. Coverage will (hopefully) kick off Tuesday with the Nintendo and Sony press conferences.
Definitely Check it out! Will will have a banner or something on the frontpage that will make the E3 stories easier to find.
See you in LA!
