For my second Gamer Savings Time Review I am diving into the current console generation with a doosy of a game. Call of Duty 2, arguably the best Xbox 360 launch title, can be picked up used for about a Hamilton and is well worth the money. However, if you are looking to boost your Gamerscore, be ready for a headache. The same things that make COD2 a great game are the same things that make its higher difficulty settings nearly impossible. Continue Reading…

Athletes Share Madden 10 Cover
Yeah, you heard it right, all the joys of the Madden curse will be getting spread across two athletes this year. In an April 24th press release, Electronic Arts has announced that three-time Pro Bowl selection and 2009 Pro Bowl MVP Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals, and 2-time Super Bowl Champion Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburg Stealers will both grace the cover of Madden NFL 10. This is a first in the franchises twenty-one year history. As EA states, defense and offense take center stage.

Retrospective: Sony Boomerang & Controller Design
Okay guys, I know it’s been quite some time since the release of the Playstation 3, but does anyone remember that awful boomerang controller design that was unveiled at e3 2005? Granted Sony has had their problems as of late, but can you even phantom the potential disaster that would have ensued if Sony would have went ahead with said design? Now, don’t get me wrong, Sony officially came out and said that this design was purely a mockup for e3, but that very well just may have been a way for them to gracefully escape the negative feedback of the design.
It’s official. Marvel vs Capcom 2 is coming to Live and PSN!
YES!!!
TWIIG: Let’s Golf
I can remember my first time playing a golf computer game, which was one of the dozens of versions of Links Championship Golf that came out in the mid-ninety’s. At the end of the decade Tiger Woods PGA Tour came on the scene and was instantly a big hit, thus maintaining computer/console golf superiority every since. Although Tiger’s simulation style game clearly remains a staple in the golfing game industry, there have been a few arcade style golf games that have made an impact along the way, mainly Hot Shots Golf for the Playstation series. Fast forward to today, Let’s Golf for the iPhone follows in the footsteps of Hot Shots Golf.
Afro Samurai Review
I know the game has been out a while. I waited for the price drop to pick it up. So sue me! I’m a little strapped for cash what with the economy on the decline and my three year old growing out of clothes after wearing them once. I know I am not the only one with concerns such as these, but I’ll tell you who isn’t concerned: AFRO!!!! Continue Reading…
Back to the Basics…I mean way back.

As many of you may know I recently built a new computer and had a few hiccups. Most of the hiccups were due to it being my first attempt at building a machine, but one of the problems was a faulty power supply. I procrastinated past my Newegg 30 day return policy and was left to deal with the manufacturer, which happened to be Sigma Products.
I notified them of my problem and was expecting your everyday run of the mill customer service. Boy was I wrong. Here is a copy of the help document they sent me…unedited mind you. I found it hilarious. Continue Reading…
Batman Arkham Asylum
I was in my local EB today and got the chance to spend some time with a early demo of the new Batman game. The demo was a combat only demo, so it didn’t have any of the stealth elements in it. First off let me say that if you played Heavenly Sword you already have a good idea of how the combat is. Except this is a much more polished mechanic in Batman AA. Continue Reading…
