I think Microsoft should draw the line in the sand and discontinue legacy support. This is the only solution that would make their OS truly lightweight.

Yeah, I noticed AMD’s new stuff on newegg this morning. I would hang on a bit though. Intel is sure to drop their core2quad chip prices in reaction to the releases. From the benchmarks I’ve seen of the Phenom II, you might as well go Intel if the prices drop.

Looks likes Windows 7 is what I will be putting on my new machine when I build it using the Obama Stimulus package. Even in beta it should be fun to play with. On another note. Anyone notice the AMD Phenom 2 on Tigerdirect. So is this the new AMD chipset?

Well, with most of the press fawning over this, I figured I should be the voice of reason. Microsoft is smart to re-label the OS, but I’m sick of Tech media acting like it’s revolutionary instead of evolutionary…

And again, I like the OS, I’m just not playing the game. I know what it is and I’m calling them on it.
